Joseph Nall is one of our newest editions at Tenison Park. He has continued studying the golf swing under Scott Akers for the past year, but by no means is he a stranger to the game. Joseph grew up in the Lake Highlands area where he began playing golf at the age of 10, and soon after would call Tenison Park his home course. He played competitively all throughout high school before attending Texas A&M University, where he co-founded A&M’s first club golf team in the Spring of 2012. After graduating in the Spring of 2016 with a master’s degree in taxation, he entered the corporate accounting world and would stay there for the next five years before finally chasing his dream of becoming a PGA Professional.
Joseph is currently working on obtaining his PGA membership while giving lessons and continually learning under the supervision of Scott. Joseph’s teaching philosophy focuses on taking what a student does well naturally, then incorporating solid fundamentals to create a swing that is both reliable and repeatable for that individual. He believes that what might work well for one person may not be applicable to others. Everyone possesses unique characteristics that are integral to their swing. Golf is not a “one-size fits all” sport.
